Public Utility Company Directorate for Public Transportation in the city of Nis has concluded public private partnership contracts worth RSD 6 billion, August 2014
Marija Tasic, managing partner, Vanja Stojanovic, senior associate and Aleksandar Popovic, junior associate at Tasic&Partners (T&P) have provided legal and consultancy services to the Public Utility Company Directorate for Public Transportation in the city of Nis, regarding the private partner selection procedure and realization of one of the most valuable PPP projects in Serbia.
The PPP procedure has resulted in conclusion of separate public contractors with private operators, total value of RSD 6 billion. Our legal team has participated in preparing and verifying necessary documentation and resolving legal issues in the procedure of private operator selection in city of Nis, as well as in drafting and signing of public contracts. PPP concept in the field of public transportation should significantly contribute to the overall quality of the service as well as increased control and discipline of the operators.
Successful cooperation between the Directorate for Public Transportation in the city of Nis and T&P has continued through engagement in court proceeding representation as well as other utility projects.
