The Ministry of Economy has announced a public call for the allocation of non-refundable (grant) funds under the Program for Supporting the Development of Business Entities and Maintaining Employment in 2026, implemented in cooperation with the Development Fund of the Republic of Serbia.
Key Features of the Program:
- Total budget: RSD 50,000,000;
- Grants: up to 50% of the investment value (max. RSD 3,000,000);
- Total financing per project: from RSD 400,000 to RSD 6,000,000;
- Loan component (optional): repayment period up to 5 years, grace period up to 1 year, interest rate 2.5% per annum.
Eligible applicants may apply: Entrepreneurs, micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) and Cooperatives registered with the Serbian Business Registers Agency (APR).
Eligible Investments:
- Purchase of equipment (new or used, up to 5 years old);
- Investments in production/business premises (construction, reconstruction, adaptation);
- Operating costs (up to 40% of the total investment).
Practical aspects include combining grants with concessional loans to significantly reduce investment costs, the option to finance projects without loans using own funds alongside grants, as well as access to free training provided by accredited regional development agencies
The public call is open until the funds are exhausted, and no later than April 30, 2026.
This program represents a favorable support instrument, particularly for the MSME sector, combining grants and preferential financing. Therefore, timely and formally compliant applications are essential, given the limited budget and the “first come, first served” principle.
