Regulation on the form and content of no smoking sign and a sign that smoking is allowed in certain area („Off. Gazette of RS“, no. 73/2010)

The Minister of health, on basis of Article 11, paragraph 3, Article 14 paragraph 5 and Article 23 paragraph 2 of the Law on protection of population from exposure to tobacco smoke („Off. Gazette of RS“, no. 30/10, hereinafter: the „Law“) , issued the Regulation on the form and content of the no smoking sign and the sign that smoking is allowed in a certain area („Off. Gazette of RS“, no. 73/2010, hereinafter „Regulation“), which entered into force on 20.10.2010.

This Regulation regulates the form and content of the no smoking sign (data and warnings which are entered in the no smoking sign) or characters that smoking is allowed in a certain area, as well as a way of highlighting those characters.

No smoking sign, with proper dimensions, content and color, stands out on all front doors of every closed working and public space, as well as in another area where smoking is prohibited, in accordance with the Law, as well as in visible places in working and public spaces, and within every single work and public space (office, cabinet, room, etc.).

A sign that smoking is allowed, with the proper dimensions, content and color, in accordance with the Law, stands out on the doorstep of every closed working and public space in which smoking is allowed, as well as on the front door of the room where smoking is allowed.

The Law envisages a penalty of 500,000.00 to 1,000,000.00 dinars for a legal entity that does not enforce the prohibition of smoking in enclosed public spaces in which smoking is prohibited under the conditions prescribed by this law.

Graphical representation of characters that smoking is prohibited or that smoking is allowed in a certain area are an integral part of this Regulation and they are in appendix.
